A little About The Artist

Paloma was born in New Jersey, to an African American father and a Spanish mother. Her parents recount her scribbling with crayons at 2 years old. Throughout her childhood she continued to draw and paint as a hobby, building up a large collection of art by the time she graduated high school.

Her college career began with her studying pre-law until the covid pandemic hit. With the world shut down she turned to painting as a way to relax amongst the chaos. Instead of continuing on to law school, her mother persuaded her to pursue a career in the arts. Hesitant she applied for one art school. And that following Fall she started studying Film and Animation at the University of the Arts Philadelphia.

Before graduating Paloma wanted to try fine art, so she spent her last semester studying abroad at the University of the Arts London, Central Saint Martins. There she realized her love for painting, and deciding to build a career combining; film, animation, and fine art.

Paloma graduated with 2 academic awards and fellowships for her short films, featured in 2 art magazines, won an official film selection, and amassed over 11 million views online for her animations.

A week after graduating the University of the Arts permanently shut down. With the abrupt closing of her alma mater, Paloma decided to move away from Philadelphia and continue her career in Europe, at the moment residing in Spain.
